Good food, nice atmosphere I would recommend for a nice sushi meal.

There aren't a lot of places to get some good ramen in Duluth. Great food and service!

We had the Yaki soba with chicken and vegetables and Korokke Bento Box. Both were quite good; good flavor, generous portions, and nicely presented. We also had the Deluxe Spicy tuna roll which is a nice combination of flavors; however, the roll was loose and several pieces fell apart when they were picked up. It took quite a while to get our order placed and to receive our food. If your time is limited at the lunch hour you might want to consider somewhere with a quicker turnaround.

Delishous sushi. Try the wasabi wantons, you won’t be disappointed! A great spot to sit or order take-out. And you like spicy, you’re in for a treat.

My brother loves Ramen now I know why. The combinations of all the flavors of the veggies noodles broth and meat man it was so good. Megan was friendly attentive but not all up in our face. Definitely going to try everything on the menu.

Zen House is by far, one of my favorite restaurants in Duluth. I have been a loyal customer since they first opened as the first sushi restaurant in Duluth and have never been disappointed. A menu that offers plenty of Japanese cuisine without being overwhelming. Sushi and bento boxes are my favorite! Incredibly friendly staff, with a nice and comfortable atmosphere. Lunch specials are a great value and they always have daily special. There are now plenty of Japanese restaurants in Duluth, but I urge everyone to try Zen House because it's a special place!

Nice price for satisfying meal. Had pork donburi and its quality was on average considering the price.

I absolutely LOVE Zen House. It's a fantastic environment, small and low key, pretty darn chill. My husband and I have been coming here for years after my best friend brought me to try sushi for the first time. The staff are always sweet and the food is beyond incredible - it's very easily affordable as well!

I've been very pleased with the rolls I've ordered here, both cooked and uncooked. I've exorbitant enjoyed the crunchy shrimp roll. The gyōza is very good, as well. I highly recommend the Zen House to anyone looking for sushi in the Twin Ports.

I've been coming to Zen House for YEARS. Hands down the most authentic Japanese food in northern MN. I was so excited when they moved into the woodland area after almost 10 years being near the mall! I love their sushi, I especially love sitting at the sushi bar. Their chefs are knowledgeable, but also very personable--something I haven't gotten at other sushi joints in the area. I honestly think their hot side food is where they shine--their ramen is PHENOMENAL and I love their donburi (get the pork belly donburi if they have it on hand!!) as well as their bento boxes. And the yakimeshi!! Honestly everything here is amazing, you will find something you love.

Food place , fast service, good selection of food. Was there 6/5/18 and the guy behind the counter was kind of rude when we walked in and said we were there for pick up. He kept staring at us like he was angry we were there while the justice checked us out. It was kind of awkward.

Definitely authentic Japanese food. The staff and very knowledgeable of the foods and recipes.

Authentic Asian cuisine is tough to find in Duluth, but Zen House is exactly that and more. I miss their location in Hermantown, but still make it up to woodland whenever I can for their sushi and other entrees. It's worth the drive at least once just to try!

Expectations exceeded. Fully admit we are food snobs. Good tempura in sushi is not easy. This is remarkably good quality. Appreciate that they put the sauces on the side without drowning their sushi with mayonnaise base. will definitely be back.

I've never had a had experience here. Great lunch spot. Great service and always comfortable delicious and reasonable. If you're in the woodland area this is the best restaurant you'll find for sure

Walked in at 3:04 pm. Literally ignored by entire staff. Five different people, and no one said a single word. Sat down and started a timer. After making eye contact with several staff, there was still nothing. Not used to this level of bad service, but it seemed like there was some kind of tension in the air as everyone seemed miserable. Got up to leave, two members of the staff noticed and still said nothing.What the heck is going on?

Started with the Ika Tempura (calamari) which was perfectly prepared, tender and delightful. The Seaweed Wakame Salad also preceded the main course(s) which was crunchy and flavorful. For the grand finale, the Sumo Roll, Crunchy Shrimp Roll, and the Lava Roll. Each roll was an expertly crafted work of culinary art. The ingredients were fresh, and the final product reigned supreme over our appetites. Great location which might seem off the beaten path, but a wonderful atmosphere and staff... no reason not to take the extra five minutes to drive out to Woodland.

A great addition to the neighborhood. We've enjoyed both dine in and take out.

Amazing sushi and ramen

Honestly wasn't that bad just giving 2 stars because the sushi I had(2 diff rolls) both has super chewy sea weed. One was so bad I didn't even eat most of the roll.

This delicious food makes me feel like I have the ability to play expert level piano even though I’ve never actually played the piano

This is the best ramen house I've personally been to. I've been several times and have never had a bad experience in the slightest. They always have high quality service and food.

Best sushi in Duluth by far. Very reasonably priced. I recommend the mount Fiji roll, it’s soooo good. They also have a lot of unique things on the menu that you are able to try for a fair price. Owners awesome and the workers are all friendly.

Food here is to die for. The udon noodle soup with ribeye is hands down the best Japanese dish I have ever had. I want to go back to visit here just for that. Had it 3 times in a row instead of trying other stuff because it is that good.

My favorite asian place in the state. The best by far in my opinion. Msg-free house made sauces. Great entrees. Awesome sushi and miso soup. Never disappointed with anything. Great food, great staff, great prices. You need to try.

Literally one of the best eats in Duluth. We always crave Zen House! And one can’t argue with the price. Support this place! You won’t regret it! You’ll want to continue to come back!

I love this place. The atmosphere is a bit simplistic but the food is fantastic and reasonably priced. There are also great options for non sushi loving folk.

The best sushi in Duluth, in my opinion. It's a little out of the way but so worth it. Their miso soup is also better than everyone else's. Pictured is one of my favorite rolls, the sumo roll. Everyone who works there is always nice and I go there as often as possible!

Amazing small place for excellent sushi and other Japanese food. Sushi chefs on staff are extremely skilled at reading their customers and selecting the best cuts and rolls to suit their tastes. I will be coming back for sure!

Finding this place was pretty strange. I was expected a stand alone place, but this place is built into the side of a gas station. Walking in, the place is pretty small, but I like the atmosphere. Only one waitress was working, so she asked us to seat ourselves. I don't know if they only ever have one at a time or if one of the wait staff was sick, but she sure could have used some help. The sushi variety is pretty good for such a small place. The sushi was brought out on little wooden serving boards which was really cool for presentation. We ordered 3 different rolls (including their specialty Zen House roll) and all were pretty good. Not the best sushi I've ever had, but pretty good. Overall a nice little place that gets my 5 star review.

Food and service were both excellent. The curry broth was fantastic as was the beef udon soup. We will be going back.

I am happy I stopped by this tiny establishment. I got the Minnesota sushi roll and the fried egg rolls. The egg rolls were absolutely fabulous, served with peanut sauce. The MN roll was pretty good too, nothing out of this world but good. Jenna was prompt, attentive and provided excellent service. I’m looking forward to returning to try the ramen!
